Quick Overview

This is a trio of Randall-Made knives. The handle material was salvaged from Pad 39 at the Kennedy Space Center after the Challenger disaster. Each sheath has a laser-etched NASA logo on the front. Scroll down to read full description!

I just got in a new shipment from Cap't Chris Stanaback, authorized Randall dealer and all around good guy.

One is a model #4-6F (the fighter version of the model 4), one is the new non-catalog Sergeant's knife, and one is a #15 with the spear-point blade.

Here is what Chris had to say about the Sgt's knife on his site - same description goes for the other two - all are in the same NASA handle material (except two are the jade version) and all have the logo on the sheath:

"I was privileged to acquire a small portion of the NASA insulators that were salvaged from Kennedy Space Center, Launch Pad #39 complex, after the Challenger disaster. This material has been used for a few projects over the past decade. These projects have been very well received by the Randall knife community.
Randall Made Knives were the 'First Knives In Space'. Their ties to our space program are well documented. It seems only fitting (and quite reasonable) that a Randall knife, made with a custom handle from this historically significant venture, would be treasured by many a Randall collector.
For this project I chose the Randall (non-cataloged) SERGEANTS Model. It is paired with a piece of NASA brown G-3, graced and adorned with as many options as can be supplied on a Randall knife."

That last bit goes for the #4-6F and the #15 as well - each has a number of nice options. The #15 has the saw tooth grind with no saw teeth which results in a spear-point, the square-top single guard, stainless steel, and thumb notches on the spine. The #4-6F has the nickel/silver double guard and black/alu. spacers. The Sgt's knife also has the black/alu spacers and is also stainless. The set, tied together by the handle material and the NASA logo on each sheath, is a beautiful tribute and will display exceptionally well! All mint, just arrived in the classic shop butcher paper!
